Hydraulic Solenoid Valve

A Hydraulic Solenoid Valve is an electrically operated valve used to control the direction, flow, or pressure of hydraulic oil in a hydraulic system. It replaces manual operation with automatic or remote control.

Working Principle

  • An electrical signal energizes the solenoid coil
  • The coil creates a magnetic field
  • This moves a spool or poppet
  • Hydraulic oil flow is started, stopped, or redirected
  • When power is removed, the valve returns to its original position by spring force.

Common Types

1. Directional Control Valves

  • 2/2, 3/2, 4/2, 4/3 valves

3. Normally Closed (NC)

  • Oil flows when power is ON

4. Single Solenoid Valve

  • Spring return

5. Double Solenoid Valve

  • Electrical shifting both directions
