A Single Acting Load Return Hydraulic Jack is a type of hydraulic jack where hydraulic pressure is applied in only one direction (lifting) and the return stroke happens automatically due to the load’s weight (gravity).

How It Works

Upstroke (Lifting)

Hydraulic oil is pumped into the cylinder → piston extends → load is lifted

Downstroke (Return):

Hydraulic pressure is released → load weight pushes the piston back → oil returns to tank

No hydraulic power is required for the return movement.

A Single Acting Hydraulic Jack (Spring Return Type) is a hydraulic lifting device where hydraulic pressure is applied only for lifting, and the return (retraction) is done automatically by an internal spring when pressure is released.

Working Principle

  • Hydraulic oil is pumped into the cylinder → piston extends → load is lifted
  • When pressure is released → spring force retracts the piston → jack returns to original position
  • Only one hydraulic port is required
